about

On August 6th, 1945, the United States of America used the first atomic weapon (nicknamed Little Boy) in history on the Japanese city of Hiroshima. It was dropped from the B-29 Enola Gay, the most expensive weapon developed by the United States in the war (3 billion – 51 billion today), in front of the Manhattan Project (2 billion – 34 billion today). Three days later, another bomb was dropped (nicknamed Fat Man) on Nagasaki, leading to the end of the bloodiest war in human history. Some of the development was featured in the recent Christopher Nolan film Oppenheimer, which follows the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer based on the book American Prometheus. We hope with this track, we inspire others to learn about this history, for if we fail to heed the lessons of the past, we are doomed to repeat them.
